Neville Lodge (1918 - 1989) had a long association with Wellington's 'Evening Post'.
Serving as a corporal in WWII he was captured by the Germans at El Alamein and entertained fellow prisoners and guards with his comic sketches.
After the wart he began life as a freelance cartoonist.
