A wonderful letter in the hand of 'The Master' Sir John Berry Hobbs - always known as Jack Hobbs -no date, presumably c 1930s.

Measuring 20.5cm x 12.5cm and written from his home at 23 Dunstall Road, Wimbledon, S W 20, the letter is in fine condition with a hardly noticeable crease where it has been folded.
Sir Jack Hobbs was an English professional cricketer who played for Surrey from 1905 to 1934 and England in 61 Test matches between 1908 and 1930. Hobbs finished his First-Class career at age 52 with 61,760 runs including 16 centuries. He is arguably the greatest batsman the game has ever seen.
