From the Holyoake estate, this unique item is a framed 1971 Christmas card in Prince Charles' hand addressed to New Zealand Prime Minister Sir Keith and Lady Holyoake and signed 'Charles'.
Rarely does correspondence from royalty to a Head of State come onto the market, so this is a genuine one-off.
I acquired this card from a lady who was engaged to be married to Sir Keith Holyoake's son and when he died unexpectedly, she was left with his personal effects which included some of his father's correspondence.
Prince Charles (1948 - ) Prince of Wales and heir apparent to the British throne was married to the late Lady Diana Spencer. They had two sons - William and Harry and divorced in 1996. Lady Diana was tragically killed in a motor vehicle accident in Paris in August 1997.
