During its life, this item has been through two house fires and was thought to have been destroyed but fortunately survived.
Letter and card sent to Jessie Robertson who went into Royal service at Balmoral Castle for Queen Mary and later became Housekeeper at Sandringham House in Norfolk, England from King George VI and Queen Elizabeth (the current monarch's mother). The card in the King's hand states ;
Small Xmas Card in the hand of Lady Alice - 'Mrs Robertson with best wishes for Christmas 1958' and signed by her as well as Prince Henry signing as 'Henry'.
Measuring 85mm x 115mm, the card is in excellent order.
